  • Ghostwriting - Have an outline or rough draft but need someone to bring your ideas to life? I may be able to help. I do the writing; you get the credit. Contact for pricing

  • Content Editing/Developmental Editing - I will dive deep into the meat of your manuscript and help you sort out characters, plots, pacing, and structure. Think big picture stuff. This includes in-text commenting and hands-on help with revisions. This kind of editing occurs before line editing, copy editing, and proofreading. Prices start at $27 per 1,000 words

  • Manuscript Evaluation - Like content/developmental editing but less hands on. I'll read your manuscript (or a specific section of it) and write a report about your characters, plots, pacing and structure. No in-text comments. A good deal for authors on a budget! Prices start at $16 per 1,000 words

  • Line Editing - This is where the scope starts to narrow a bit. With Line Editing, I will focus on your sentences specifically. I'll help you figure out tone, syntax, dialogue, and voice. Prices start at $25 per 1,000 words

  • Copy Editing - The next step after line editing. This level focuses on grammar, punctuation, and consistency. I will ensure that your manuscript follows the style guide it needs to follow (for novels, this is typically Chicago Manual Style). Prices start at $20 per 1,000 words

  • Proofreading - This is the final step before publication. With my keen eye for detail, I will carefully read every word of your manuscript and flag any errors. Even the best writers leave typos! Prices start at $15 per 1,000 words

  • Writing Consultation - Need a friendly face to bounce your ideas off of? Want advice on something specific? We can set up a video call to discuss. Rate: $60/hr

About

I am a member of the LGBTQ+ Editors Association and the Editorial Freelancers Association. I have a B.A. in English from Bryn Mawr College. I've worked with literary magazines and indie authors. I work with many genres and types of writing, but I have the most experience with fiction and nonfiction. If your project isn't a good fit for me, I would be happy to refer you to an editor who can help you!I live in Columbus, Ohio, with my wife and our two cats.
